All children share certain things in common a love of pizza for example But let s face it Your child is unique You know it and we know it Your child is not just a number in our practice we know our patients well and we pride ourselves on caring for each of them as we would our own family members

It is always our mission to help prevent tooth decay and other dental issues children may experience. Preventative dental care and good oral hygiene will help your child get off to a great start in maintaining a healthy mouth for their lifetime. We recommend hygiene visits for your child at least every 6 months.

All children share certain things in common—a love of pizza, for example. But let’s face it: Your child is unique. You know it…and we know it! Your child is not just a number in our practice—we know our patients well and we pride ourselves on caring for each of them as we would our own family members.

Dental sealants are a great way to protect your child’s molars. Back teeth, with their grooves and pits, are particularly prone to decay; dental sealants act as a convenient barrier to help prevent cavities. We recommend placing sealants on their molars as soon as they are fully erupted.

Fluoride is an important line of defense in strengthening developing teeth and fighting tooth decay. Help protect your child’s teeth against damaging bacteria and acids from food and drinks with fluoride. It is offered during your child’s hygiene visit in our practice.

4 Ways to Reduce The Risk of Cavities (from the American Dental Association):

  1. Brush teeth twice a day for two minutes (morning and before bed) to remove sugars and food particles from their teeth.
  2. Limit between-meal snacking.
  3. Keep added sugar in their diet to a minimum by making wise food and beverage choices.
  4. Include dairy, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and water in their diet—they all play a role in your dental health.

Don’t Ignore Dry Mouth

It can range from being annoying to downright uncomfortable— but if left untreated, dry mouth can actually do dental damage. Let’s look at some of the facts about dry mouth.

Missing Teeth – A Threat to Confidence…and Health

With the loss of one or more teeth, there may be more at stake than just your smile. Missing teeth may not only lower confidence…they may also contribute to other health problems. With so many options for patients with missing teeth, including implants, bridges, partial dentures, there’s no need to opt to just live with the gaps.

There are many reasons patients lose teeth, from accidental injury to periodontal disease or advanced decay that necessitates their removal. Should the patient opt to live with one or more gaps between the remaining teeth, the result can often prove problematic.
